The Kiowa gourd dance is the traditional dance of the Tai-pe-go warrior society, one of several men's societies in the Kiowa tribe. Rattles are held by the dancers that were originally made of rawhide or gourd but now metal cans are used such as baking powder cans and metal salt shakers. Singers include four members of the Cozad family. CD contains twelve songs.
