The original words of great Native leaders are recorded here by many of their descendants. Cedar flute, quiet chanting, drum and nature sounds provide a comfortable background soundscape. Sitting Bull, Chief Seattle, Crazy Horse, Black Elk, respected Sun Dance leaders and the teachings of medicine men are all part of this special project in addition to the spoken word portions there are songs by Eli Battese, Marvin Helper, Everett Poor Thunder and his ensemble and "Lakota Women's Power Song" sung by Nyla Helper. Proceeds from the album go to various Native organizations. Recorded in the sacred Black Hills of South Dakota.
