Steve Gordon and Deborah Martin were inspired to create a gentle instrumental album after spending time with Edgar Perry, a White Mountain Apache man of the Eagle Clan. He is the Grandson of Sgt. Alejo Quintero, one of the last Indian scouts for the U.S. Army. After hearing about the tribe's history and culture Gordon and Martin combined their musical talents using guitars, flute, Taos drums, rattles, shakers, keyboards, breath, ocarinas and rainsticks to create a musical backdrop for the history of the Apache peoples. Edgar Perry joins them on several tracks.
