Calvin Standing Bear is a full-blooded Rosebud Sioux from the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota and is one of the grandchildren of Chief Silas Standing Bear and Chief Luther Standing Bear. He has performed on the Native American flute as a soloist with the Colorado Chorale. James Torres is a pianist of Chiricahua Apache and Mexican-American descent. He has performed with Latin artists Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Flora Purim and Airto Moreiera. Together they have created an album of spiritually-based music, each song reflecting reverence for the Great Spirit and Mother Earth.
