The ever expanding and eclectic taste of Nakai takes us to the sublime and enlightened world of Tibetan Buddhism. Nawang Khechog studied for years with the Dalai Lama and his Tibetan flutes, long horns, didgeridoo and djembe instruments make this album a very meditative journey. He offers Tibetan prayers of healing, peace and compassion that are interwoven into several tracks. There is also a little bit of Tibetan overtone singing but this is kept to a minimum. Eaton and Clipman round out the multi-cultural palette with guitar-like instruments and gentle percussion. An album that needs a second and third listen before judging.
