R. Carlos Nakai Jazz Quartet<br>Kokopellis's Cafe

This first exploration into jazz by R. Carlos Nakai offers us a splendid blend of cultural styles. Well-known percussionist, Will Clipman heard on Feather, Stone & Light and White Buffalo keeps this album lively with his unique and varied styles. Amo Chip, also a master of several styles and instruments plays string bass, saxophone, keyboards and congas. He has performed with African, world beat, reggae and jazz bands and has appeared on over fifteen albums. J. David Muñiz, of Apache and Mexican-American descent, is a guitarist and string bassist who adds flavors of salsa, funk, rock and blues to several of the best cuts on the album. One of the most accessible of the more avant-garde albums. If you’re willing to explore new musical styles, this is the album for you.
