Joseph Fire Crow is back to his roots with Red Beads, a CD of traditional flute and singing. Drum accompanies many of the tracks and on several songs you'll hear two flutes. If you have a CD-Rom drive in your computer watch the enhanced portion of Red Beads. There are two sections to it. In the Cheyenne Flutes portion Fire Crow shows us the anatomy of his flute and how his breath creates the specific sounds. In the Red Beads portion he speaks of his philosophy in regards to playing this ancient, tradtional instrument and his deep respect for its inherent qualities. He lets the instrument express itself, never imposing his own emotions onto it.
