He's originally from Steamboat Canyon, Arizona but now lives on the Chopaka Reserve in British Columbia with his Similkameen Nation wife. He helps forge the strong bond between the U.S. and Canada celebrating the common Athapaskan ancestry that the Diné share with certain native peoples in Canada. Jaye Begaye sings with clan brother Everitt White who adds some flute as well as his beautiful voice which blends perfectly with Begaye's. Most songs are very gentle except for the rollicking ride we are given with "Roller Coaster" featuring his talented ten year old daughter, Tiinesha. The song is dedicated to homeless children and we hear them in the background laughing as they ride a roller coaster. An excellent traditional recording with some interesting twists and turns.
