Gerald Primeaux, Sr. is the son of noted peyote singer Asa Primeaux Sr. He comes from the Yankton Sioux reservation based at Greenwood, South Dakota. He has been involved with the Peyote Way all his life and believes in it fully with mind, body and spirit. He is also a proud veteran. He was a finalist in the 2000 Native American Music Awards for Best Traditional Recording.
