This delightful CD from Seminole storyteller and singer Chief Jim Billie is suitable for your child's library. The Seminole language is not written thus these legends take on an important significance to this tribe. His deeply resonant voice will enchant and charm anyone. John McEuen's music provides great background instrumentation with mandolin, slide guitar, banjo, fiddle and Latin influenced percussion. Many of the songs are about various animals that the tribe hunted. Also are included are love songs sung in a humorous country/folk style with the help of an uncredited female vocalist who adds a welcome balance.
