Bill Miller has come a long way since his early albums and his newest release reveals this growth in all its splendor. "Little Brother" will sound a lot like Bob Dylan but that's because Miller listened to him when he was developing his talent and soaked up his style. If you like Chris Issak you'll be reminded of his romantic haunting voice in "You Are the Rain." But Miller has a stamp of his own and it's all over this CD from the solo flute track that opens the album to a great blues number called "Face the Blues," something that Miller has done very well in his life. His songs can teach us all how to rise above our personal misery and embrace the love of our people and our chosen spiritual beliefs. A poetic, heart felt collection of songs that will touch us all.
