Chronicles of Hope is a joy to listen to and an admirable achievement considering the amount of painful revelations Bill Miller went through to bring these beautiful songs out of the depths of his heart. But don't worry, this is not an album of somber ballads bemoaning a life spent carelessly. The musical styles are varied and at times up-beat as Miller explores the good and bad, the simple and complicated; the mystery of life for all of us. His honesty coupled with a superb production make this his best album yet.
