Joined by musicians Jovino Santos Neto from Brazil and Greek percussionist Epaminondas Trimis, Vasquez (Kiowa-Apache) makes his flute very present in a pleasing world music backdrop. A light jazz influence permeates most of the album. There are also vocals included set against the sound of crashing thunder and other nature sounds plus solo flute performances. Listen for "Winter Woman" sung by Rita Coolidge, Laura Satterfield and Nadine Vasquez. A nice mixture of traditional and contemporary sounds.
